“For a long time I had been planning to make material about deportation and asked my friend, Yusuf Dzhappuev, the author of some of my songs, to raise the materials of Omar Otarov,” Alla shares, “his choice fell on this song.

Initially, I did not plan to turn this work into a full-fledged project, I thought of making a small cover version for Instagram or YouTube channel. But, while working on this song, my uncle suddenly passed away, and this event completely turned my attitude towards the material upside down. Through his loss, I felt even more sharply the value of the life of representatives of small peoples of that time, without the guilt of the guilty and expelled from their land by criminal decrees.

I turned to Sasha Akmanova, she acted as a sound producer, fully embodying my idea, for which I am grateful to her. It is worth noting that she worked on the project without recovering from the accident, with a sore leg, and I lived between Moscow and Cherkessk, this is a very important release for us. We completed the work in an incredibly short time in order to have time to make a musical gift for the Day of the beginning of the mass resettlement of the Karachai people to their homeland - May 3. Yes, the gift is sad, heavy, but this holiday, like May 9, is with tears in his eyes.

To the audience, I would like to say: to honor the memory of ancestors and be proud of how bravely they withstood the years of war and deportation, it is necessary not only on memorable dates. Their heritage must be protected, preserving humanity in themselves, and loving each other in today, at this time. May this never touch you and your families! ”Alla wished.
