Aslan Liev presented his interpretation of an ancient folk song, literally collected by him in parts - "Si keshenir arash" ("The only one").
“This song as such did not exist at all,” says Aslan, “the fact is that I have a large archive of Adyghe folklore, collected in different countries. For me, this archive is simply priceless. Once I digitized old recordings, that is, I translated from tape to digital for archiving, and I heard a melody on the tape, which the old man sang without words just by refrains. I started to process it and created a chorus, created a verse, from those in my opinion the best conduction. And he created a song. But nowhere and never have I spoken about this, because I believe that this is the property of our people.
I always think like this: I took it from the people, brought in musical colors and gave it to the people. Therefore, I write that this composition is folk. This song is sung by different performers, and all versions of the arrangements were done only by me. I am very glad that she became a hit and loved her! "
