What are the differences between the tunes included in the EP?

The difference between Jagu and Jagu (remix) is that Jagu is mixed a little differently, more drum-heavy and very popular at weddings and events. Even when I'm not at the party, this track sounds full, danceable, incendiary, it is longer, the melody is repeated so that the dancers can fully enjoy the moment. Another melody "Dzhegu" (remix) is shorter, I play with it myself and the solo instrument in it is an accordion.

How did the idea of creating a project come about? How did you work on it?

The idea was born for the wedding of my close friend, also a musician, we often perform together, he is a violinist - Eldar Bayramakayev. He invited me and I decided that I should write a very cool jag for a loved one. I wanted to make the melody instrumentally rich: with bass, flute, vocals. It would take a whole orchestra to play the melody I had in mind, so I decided to record the track. After all, I can play most of the required instruments and register them. My constant colleague in creative work Dima Kachalaev (doul) and my friend Anzor Uvizhev (wind instruments) helped me, the rest I recorded myself, including vocals. I wanted to do something unusual and from the bottom of my heart, I hope it happened.

What formed the basis of your tunes?

All these melodies are based on folk motives. But my listener knows that I always rework them, supplement them. I tried to preserve as much as possible the old, recognizable melody moves, so that its traditional component was on the surface for the listener. In each work, there is also an author's part in development, along with the traditional course. I wanted to update the melody and make it unique.

It is important for me to maintain a certain level of professionalism in my work. Many colleagues have recorded a medley of traditional jagu tunes. I thought that I should treat this project in my own spirit: preserve recognizable traditional beauty and supplement with revised bright author's motives.

The main thing for me is that the people like it. I often hear it at events and this is the best assessment of my work. After that wedding, the melody went to the people and for me it is especially valuable!
