The gentle, but in the Circassian tradition, the restrained song "Adygi", dedicated to love for the native Adyghe people, was performed by Rustam Nakhushev
The author of the composition, Alibek Gegiev, filled the song with warmth and bright wishes, put great pride and devotion to the Adyghe heritage and culture into it.
“There is freedom in this song,” Rustam shares, “while performing it, I feel special pride and involvement in the vast and rich Adygeyan culture! I sing it with my soul, straight from my heart, and I dedicate it to all the Circassians that have ever lived and will live! "
Lyrics of Rustam Nakhushev's song "Adygi"
Behind us is my land
Calls me to the clouds
Carry through the years
Our ancestors' voices
⠀
And I chant
I don’t forget customs
I wish the same to my brothers
Dressing your Circassian
⠀
I step on my native lands
A lot has been spilled here, I know
And the flames don't go out
Adygam the soul sings
⠀
Black horse harness
Take me away
Along the ridge
Where is the Circassian land
⠀
And I chant
I don’t forget customs
I wish the same to my brothers
Dressing your Circassian
⠀
I step on my native lands
A lot has been spilled here, I know
And the flames don't go out
Adygam the soul sings
⠀
And I chant
I don’t forget customs
I wish the same to my brothers
Dressing your Circassian
⠀
I step on my native lands
A lot has been spilled here, I know
And the flames don't go out
Adygam the soul sings
