Composer and harmonist Svetlana Dzhasheyeva-Chipchikova, popular throughout the Caucasus, brought to Russia the beautiful melody “Saklayma Seni” (“Waiting for You”)
“In 2016, I was invited to Turkey, to the festival of friendship of the Karachay-Balkarian diaspora,” Svetlana shares, “there I heard the beautiful song “Saklayma Seni” (“Waiting for You”). It was sung together, a cappella by the youth, I really liked it! I decided to please my Turkish friends, listeners, and made the processing of the melody and performed it on one of the days of the festival! It was my gift for our countrymen living in Turkey.
To say that the number met with a flurry of emotions and applause is to say nothing! The melody of the song in my original arrangement, my modest work, was accepted enthusiastically.
