Mini-album premiered Marat Akayev "Medley"
The album is dedicated to the pan-Caucasian musical tradition, with a special emphasis on native artist Kumyk music.
“In my album I wanted to talk about how rich the Caucasus is. We can say that I tried to reflect the diversity of Caucasian musical culture in this EP. Basically, of course, the album is dedicated to the Kumyk musical culture, my native motives.
I would like to point out that it is wrong to call these melodies Lezginka, - Marat continues, - the word "Lezginka" was taken from the Lezghin people and their dances. Kumyk dance melodies are called "Tepsev" and "Indirbai".
